As the name implies the wine is a deep golden colour. Rich aromas of cold tea-leaf, toffee, honey and citrus burst from the glass. The palate is intense and mouth filling. Malt and toffee combine with rancio characters providing a wine of power and complexity with a luscious yet clean finish. Blended for optimum flavour and balance prior to bottling, this wine will not improve with further cellaring and should ideally be enjoyed soon after opening. Serving Suggestions: A heavenly experience with cream brulee, coffee pannacotta, sticky date pudding or fresh brewed coffee and fine chocolates.
