The Wine Front – Heady scents of ripe, red plum, currants, fig and salami with dried herbs and white pepper. Sloshes into the palate nicely, liquorice, some dried herb and sweet berry fruits with a bit of dark chocolate, ferrous character and a clean, bright finish with ultra fine, succulent tannin in tow. Feels well balanced, elegant, in a groove. Very nicely done, a bit fuller figured in personality. - Mike Bennie 16 May 2023

Charles Joguet Les Charmes Chinon Rouge 2018
With a selection of grapes from specific plots with the same terroir, containing chalk and clay, with a hint of flint. At an average vine age of 35 all grapes are hand harvested and sorted on arrival at the cellar. With a beautiful and very deep, velvety red color the bouquet is full of ripe cherries. The flavour is well structured, tannic, and very powerful.
