We aim to have all wines be vintage specific. In the case the listed vintage is out of stock and you note you would like that particular vintage, we will inform you via email for approval to go ahead.
World Wine – Neal Martin - The nose is rather taciturn at first, unfurling with tantalising slowness: clear honey, pear, orange-blossom and apricot. Wonderful definition. The palate is not as powerful as others, but there is a tangible sense of minerality underlying the honeyed fruit, very focused and endowed with breathtaking definition and tension towards the vibrant finish.
About This Wine
Château de Fargues is an ancient Château within the legendary region of Sauternes in Bordeaux's south. A delicate, yet unctuous dessert wine, Château de Fargues is a winery that uses minimal intervention to produce their wine of great concentration. The 2006 Sauternes is one of richness and opulence. Characters of dense honey, toffee and oak are prevalent yet retaining the trademark line of acid to bring it all together. Considered a heady, rich style, this Sauternes should be regarded as a wine for early drinking.
