Chateau de Parnay Saumur Champigny Blason rouge 2019

Located along the Loire River on the most reputable clay and limestone terroir of Saumur-Champigny appellation, Château de Parnay has been producing outstanding wines for more than two centuries. Drawing their strength from the authenticity of their values, they now cultivate 50 hectares of vines with the aim of producing exceptional wines in a way that respects the environment. They have been certified organic since 2013 and are about to be certified biodynamic too.

Deep ruby colour with a garnet touch, confirming that the Cabernet franc berries are very healthy and mature. On the nose, the wine expresses both power and freshness around an aromatic complexity which is dominated by lightly jammed red fruits (strawberries, raspberries, cherries…) then the flower aromas which are typical in the Loire valley terroir : violet, iris and rose. In the mouth, it is round, sweet, full and generous, with a final touch of silky tannins which melts in the harmonious structure dominated by the red fruits. This marvellous wine comes with the spirit of the spring and the best sample for wine we are looking for in Northern France.
