About this Wine

Drawing on fruit from two of South Australia's most distinctive Shiraz-growing regions, the Taylors Estate Shiraz 2024 is a generous, fruit-driven red. The Limestone Coast lends cool-climate framework and lively natural acidity, while the Clare Valley adds plush mid-palate fruit and depth. The result is a wine that drinks beautifully on release, with enough structure to reward several years in the cellar. Twelve months in a blend of French and American oak brings out the qualities the Estate range is known for: ripe, plentiful fruit, a smooth texture and a clean, rewarding finish.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Deep, saturated red with a vivid purple rim.

Nose: Lifted and welcoming, opening with ripe cherry, plum and blueberry, followed by violet, mulberry and rich fruitcake notes. Hints of white chocolate and mocha add warmth and complexity.

Palate: Fresh, supple and fruit-led, with cherry, raspberry and strawberry at its centre. Fine, medium-weight tannins give a smooth, easy-drinking structure, and the oak adds layers of interest while keeping the fruit firmly in focus.

Finish: Lengthy and well-defined, with fine oak tannins framing the fruit through to a clean, satisfying close.

Winemaking

Fruit for the 2024 Estate Shiraz was drawn from vineyards across the Limestone Coast and Clare Valley. The wine spent 12 months in a mix of French and American oak before being fined and lightly filtered prior to bottling, an approach that retains the fruit's vibrancy while delivering the consistent, polished texture characteristic of the Estate range.
