Founded in 1982, Conterno Fantino testifies to the talent and vision of viticulturist Claudio Conterno and his partner, oenologist Guido Fantino. Now joined by their families, these great wines start in exceptional vineyards in Monforte – Ginestra, Bussia, Mosconi, Castelletto – and are lovingly nurtured in the state-of- the-art winery at Bricco Bastia. This location is scenically set, dominating the most ancient section of Monforte and overlooked by the majestic sweep of the alps. The entire range is impressive but it’s the contemporary expressions of Barolo that garner praise from critics and collectors worldwide. These are powerful wines that are firmly structured with an extra dimension of fruit intensity and complexity.
