Description: The bouquet of Fontodi Flaccianello delle Pieve Toscana IGT shows a steady and seductive development of dark cherries, notes of chocolate, spice, tobacco and sweet almonds, all of which blend seamlessly into one another. Its texture and internal interweaving is rich, velvety and firm. A succinct core of acidity brilliantly hits the spot on the back palate, helping the wine appear neither too heavy nor too dense. An exceptional elegance sets it apart from other wines. The flagship of Azienda Agricola Fontodi. The Flaccianello della Pieve is one of the absolute top wines in Tuscany. Of all the pure Sangiovese, it probably shows the greatest finesse. Only the very best grapes from a single vineyard are fermented on the mash for three weeks in temperature-controlled steel tanks. Aging in new French barriques from Allier and Tronçais for 24 months.
