Nino Negri's Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG "5 Star Sfursat" is a wine that embodies the soul and passion of Valtellina viticulture. Produced following the traditional "sfursat" technique, which involves the drying of Nebbiolo grapes (locally called Chiavennasca), this wine is a true oenological treasure, an expression of a unique territory and exceptional savoir-faire.
At sight, the Sfursat 5 Stars stands out for its intense garnet red color, with reflections that tend towards orange with aging. On the nose, the wine opens with a complex and intriguing bouquet, offering aromas of ripe red fruits, jam, spices and a subtle hint of tobacco and cocoa, the result of aging in wood.
On the palate, this Sforzato di Valtellina reveals itself to be rich and powerful, but at the same time elegant and well-structured. The tannins are enveloping and well integrated, the acidity is well balanced, giving freshness and drinkability. You can perceive flavors of dried fruit, plum, balsamic notes and a light spiciness, which blend into a long and persistent finish.
