A blend of 75% Syrah and 25% Grenache, this wine rests equidistant between the fragrance of outstanding Grenache and the mouth-filling generosity of high-quality Syrah. It exhibits the soft, silky texture that we see as the signature of all of Bekkers' wines.

"From eight vineyards, with the syrah from Seaview and Clarendon and the grenache from Blewitt Springs, Kangarilla and the Onkaparinga Hills. The parcels were fermented separately with about 18 whole bunches in the final reckoning; maturation was in older French oak. This is an effortlessly silky and supple expression, a wine of caressing glide, a plushness that never feels extravagant, checked by fine grape/stem tannins and the poise of pristine fruit selection. Raspberry pastille, blackberry essence, coffee grounds, light notes of tar and iron. It’s a wine of real immediacy, but it will cellar well."
