"Excellent year in the Clare Valley and this poised and most stylish Shiraz showcases the best of the region. The brilliant bright colour leads to the aromas of spices and dried herbs with the dark plummy and black cherry notes intriguing. The palate has a chalky character which complements the plush fruit flavours. A most impressive wine."
The palate is medium bodied and has soft, silky tannins that provide structure for the rich yet not overpowering ripe dark fruits and chocolate. Balanced acidity sees the wine finish long and clean. Really is quite elegant.
