Imagine the freshness of Tasmania in a bottle and you won't be too far off here. It's vibrant and crisp with lush green fruits, apple, pear, citrus and limes, all gathered together with acid and structure that will allow for ageing if that is your want. Try it with Tasmanian smoked salmon or grilled lobster in butter.

World Wine – 92 Points Vines up to 40yo; hand picked; fermented and matured for 9 months in French oak barrels; 50% mlf and selective bâtonnage. A chardonnay that contrasts flesh and body with the malic tension that characterises Piper's River. Impressive concentration of white peach and fig are underlined by well-integrated spicy, nutty French oak. Malic acidity retained in half the blend changes the pace on the finish, tracing out a long, honed tail that promises medium-term potential. Impressive value in Tasmanian chardonnay.
