Treatment
Family traditional responsible farming methods with a diet of composts, native grasses & flora as ground cover, low water input and natural sprays for diseases.
Machine harvested during the coolest part of the day, whole berry juice was pressed to both tank and seasoned 500lt French oak for fermentation for 3 weeks and a further 2 months maturation before racking and natural cold settling before bottling.
Vintage
Lovely mild vintage for the Barossa allowing for flavours to slowly build with excellent acid retention to aid in the wines freshness and styling
Tasting Notes
Beautifully complex, fine & dry with flavours & aromatics
of red fruits, rose petals, musk, pomegranate and cherry
with cleansing fruit acidity.
Story
In the far reaches of the Barossa Valley – when the sun sets, and the full moon rises, a cold calm descends on the undulating landscapes, a vineyard grows here in the silence of the night, nurtured by Earth’s critters and the magical moon and sunshine. This sacred ground, this mystic park, produces an exotic Sangiovese Rose that’s mouth filling, with its burst of red fruit, raspberry, cherry and musk and oh so crisp and so perfect on a many starry moonlit night.

Barossa Valley Wine

The Barossa Valley wine region has historically and currently still is one of Australia's most prestigious premium wine producing regions. Located just 60km north east of Adelaide city centre, the climate there is very hot and dry which is perfect for the big bold reds the area is famous for.
A straight Shiraz is what Barossa is most well known for, however Rhone blends, such as Shiraz Cabernet are also very popular. While much less prevalent, white wines (Chardonnay, Riesling, Semillon) are planted on the higher altitude hillsides where the ocean breeze cools temperatures down to a level suitable for producing these varieties as well.
Some of Australia's earliest Shiraz plantings can be found here dating as far back as the 1850's. While not always a guarantee of quality, it might be worth seeking out and trying one of the region's "old vine shiraz" if you haven't yet.
