About This Wine
This bright, inky Bourgogne is drawn from three parcels; one-third from some old vines in the Hautes Côtes, one-third from vines in Maranges (villages level) and one-third from Bourgogne proper, from some vines on the edge of Puligny-Montrachet (same plot that gifts the Bourgogne blanc). It is aged in barrels, of which around 15-20% where new. Really tangy, cherry pip and spicy noted fruit entwined with bright acidity and powdery tannins. Very Hautes Côtes in style, loads of fruit and energy-there is plenty of bang for your buck here.
