Savigny is a modest little village in the Cote de Beaune. According to Clives Coates MW, it makes for "a happy hunting ground for those who seek good inexpensive Burgundy." The commune is known for being the most divided vignoble in Burgundy, with its 22 premier cru vineyards located on one of two sides - the Pernard side and the Mont Battois side. Chanson Pere & Fils is the oldest négociant in Burgundy, established in 1750.
Their Beaune premier crus wines such as the Clos des Mouches are impressive and represent superb value and will reward the owner either in tasting or investing.
