The 2019 Glenguin Aristea Shiraz is a distinguished Hunter Valley Shiraz from the Broke Fordwich sub-region, crafted from low-yielding, hand-picked fruit grown on the estate’s gravel-over-clay soils. Named after the Greek goddess Aristea, this flagship wine reflects Glenguin’s commitment to traditional, low-intervention winemaking and showcases the elegance and longevity that define the finest Hunter Shiraz. The warm, dry 2019 vintage produced fruit of exceptional concentration while retaining freshness and balance.
The nose reveals blackberry, plum and black cherry alongside notes of cracked pepper, dried herbs and subtle spice. The palate is medium-bodied and beautifully structured, with vibrant dark fruit supported by fine tannins and bright acidity. Hints of graphite, earth and savoury complexity add depth, while the finish is long, polished and distinctly regional.
