The Wine Front – This has become a more sophisticated wine over the years. There’s a mineral aspect, and a run of graphite, both of which go perfectly with the licorice and raspberry characters, not to mention the earthen, almost rusty spice notes. A whisper of reduction has been put to positive effect, while fine sheets of tannin lend the entire back half of the wine an impression of dryness and control. This wine is clearly and abundantly ripe, without being overly sweet. It’s excellent. - Campbell Mattinson, 27 June 2023

94 POINTS - The Real Review, Aaron Brasher
"Bright red and really youthful in the glass. Pretty aromas of dried herbs, violets, blueberry, cherry and bramble. Sweet, fleshy, blue fruited and fragrant on the palate. There’s a plushness and roundness to the fruit and it has a real generosity of flavour. The tannins and acid both perform admirably and bring texture, shape and cut. Lovely drinking. 25 September 2023"
95 POINTS - Winepilot, Ray Jordan
"This is a Grenache and Mataro blend from the Barossa. The varieties are processed separately before going into all older oak for 10 months maturation. The perfumed aromas of raspberry and cherry are immediately evident. The palate picks up on these characters but then the grainy slightly gravelly tannin characters add another dimension that lifts this to a new place beyond a simple fruit driven wine. Balanced and poised. 19 October 2023"
Crimson with garnet hues. Bright, lifted aromas of redcurrant, rosehip and raspberry develop into concentrated baked plum pudding with spicy notes. The soft, luscious palate is complemented by complex flavours of spiced berry compote, raspberry and red liquorice. An elegant style with fine, velvety tannins and balanced acidity.

Barossa Valley Wine
The Barossa Valley wine region has historically and currently still is one of Australia's most prestigious premium wine producing regions. Located just 60km north east of Adelaide city centre, the climate there is very hot and dry which is perfect for the big bold reds the area is famous for.
A straight Shiraz is what Barossa is most well known for, however Rhone blends, such as Shiraz Cabernet are also very popular. While much less prevalent, white wines (Chardonnay, Riesling, Semillon) are planted on the higher altitude hillsides where the ocean breeze cools temperatures down to a level suitable for producing these varieties as well.
Some of Australia's earliest Shiraz plantings can be found here dating as far back as the 1850's. While not always a guarantee of quality, it might be worth seeking out and trying one of the region's "old vine shiraz" if you haven't yet.
