On the palate, the wine is dry, fresh, and beautifully balanced, with the ability to evolve gracefully over time while retaining its vibrance and structure.
The Riesling vines, first planted in 1978, mark the foundation of Lark Hill’s vineyard, located high on the Lake George escarpment, 30km from Canberra. After 43 vintages, the site has proven to be exceptionally well-suited to this noble variety, consistently producing wines of clarity and expression.
In the winery, Lark Hill employs minimal intervention techniques to preserve the natural balance and vibrancy of the fruit. This approach ensures the final wine truly reflects the unique geology, climate, and character of the vineyard—an honest expression of its terroir.
