"Sourced from the Eden Valley, this is a very fine Riesling for drinking now and over the next decade – more, if well cellared. The colour is an almost transparent lemon yellow. The nose offers citrus notes, white jasmine and a range of florals, spices, river stones and a lemon meringue character on the medium length which also shows good intensity. - Ken Gargett, 19 October 2023"
This Riesling takes its name from a local landmark, Peggy’s Hill, found at the top of the mountain range and located in the heart of the Eden Valley. The vines are up to 50 years of age, growing in low-vigour ancient Cambrian-period soils at altitudes of 400-500 metres. Fragrant aromas of lemon and lime zest, white peach and citrus blossom are followed by concentrated flavours of tangerine, grilled lemon and crisp green apple, framed by fine minerality and a long finish.
