This is a shiraz of exceptional quality from the great 2021 season. It was selected from a small parcel of supreme quality wine and named in honour of Valerie Friend, a co-founder of Narkoojee. The wine was fermented by indigenous yeasts and has a dense blackberry colour, intense flavour and great complexity.
Tasting Notes Colour: Dense blackberry with crimson edges Bouquet: Blackberry and black plum with aniseed, a touch of green peppercorn and cedary French oak Flavour: Blackberry and black plum with kalamata olive, mushroom, truffle and cedary French oak Texture: Intense and complex with fine tannins, good natural acidity and perfect balance Alcohol: 14.0%
