The flagship Hill of Grace Shiraz, regarded as one of the greatest single vineyard wines in the world. This beautiful site was planted in the mid-1800s with pre-phylloxera vines from Europe. Balanced acidity provides freshness and structure, while layers of silky tannins result in an elegant finish with an exceptional length that is perfect for drinking right now and will no doubt take pride of place in the cellar.

James Halliday – The vivid colour, the perfume of the bouquet, the harmony of the red and black fruits, and the reassurance of precisely tailored tannins all add to the triumph of Prue Henschke in the vineyard, and Stephen Henschke in the winery. The synergy between these parts is such that there's no hint of a difficult - indeed, very difficult - vintage. - 99 Points - James Halliday, The Weekend Australian.
Huon Hooke – "I never score a wine 100/100, but the 2008 Hill of Grace is a 99-er. It’s one of the greatest wines I’ve tasted for some considerable time. Very deep, concentrated brick-red colour of appropriate maturity, the bouquet dominated by earthy/forest-floor savoury tertiary aromas with old leather armchairs, terracotta and dried porcini mushroom aromas to the fore. A subtle trace of licorice. Sumptuous palate flavour, with masses of tannin but also a core of sweet fruit endures. The finish is energetic and driving, the aftertaste lingers on for an eternity. A majestic mature shiraz in the prime of lts life. A great wine! Drink: 2024–2033." Huon Hooke, The Real Review - 99 points (Tasted Feb 2024)
