Juicy red fruits and a lovely crunch of acidity give vibrancy and drive to the palate. Savoury shiraz notes of pepper and earth are intertwined with more pure fruits and florals.

James Halliday – From an Adelaide Hills vineyard outside Shaw + Smith's usual remit, this time from the Echunga district, vinified in neutral concrete vats using a mix of whole berries and 15% whole bunches. A lighter-bodied style, redolent with bright plum fruit, offset with a subtle background of wood and stems, underpinned by a gentle spice and earthiness.
