James Halliday – A thoroughly enjoyable warm-climate white. Ripe round unctuous and slippery of texture almost suggestive of something from the Rhone. Scents of glazed quince marzipan and stone fruit allusions corralled by a gentle waft of impeccably managed phenolics and soft acidity. Mid-weighted of feel despite the lowish alcohol with a palpable mellifluousness to it all neither forced or stylistically nor tweaked technically. Intuitively handled sans winemaking chicanery. Very good drinking.
