The Château Calon Ségur 1989 is a Third Growth of St Estèphe. It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot.
Calon Segur's 1989 vintage is particularly successful.
It has a very beautiful ruby colour with hints of grey and an elegant and refined bouquet of ripe fruit with woody notes and a hint of anise.
On the palate, Château Calon Ségur 1989 reveals a smooth, dense body with velvety texture and moderately rich tannins. The fruits are a little tired but always present, ripe and sweet.
