Chateau de Laubade Bas Armagnac Vintage 1985 40% 700ML is an exceptional vintage Armagnac crafted at Château de Laubade, a renowned estate established in 1870 in the heart of the prestigious Bas Armagnac appellation. Widely regarded as one of the leading producers in the Armagnac category, the estate spans 105 hectares of single vineyard and is now managed by the family’s third generation, dedicated to maintaining its legacy of excellence. Produced exclusively from estate-grown grapes, this vintage is made using the traditional varieties Ugni-Blanc, Folle Blanche, Colombard, and Baco, with each grape variety distilled separately through a meticulous “home-made” process. Château de Laubade is uniquely known for crafting its own Gascony oak casks, allowing for precise maturation and complete traceability of its eaux-de-vie. Each vintage blend is distinctive and carefully aged, with older vintages preserved in glass “dames-jeannes” to ensure a slow and controlled evolution, while the oldest expressions rest in the estate’s legendary cellar known as “Le Paradis.”
