Produced from white ugny vines grown on the silico-clay terroirs of Avéron-Bergelle, Bas-Armagnac du Domaine le Pouy is carefully distilled by Ponsolat at Cravancères.
The 1984 vintage has an amber color with golden highlights. On the nose, aromas of quince jam and plum mingle with hints of flowers such as violets and roses, and subtle notes of cinnamon and sweet licorice. On the palate, this Bas-Armagnac unfurls a complex bouquet of pastry flavors dominated by crème brûlée, gingerbread, honey and milk caramel. The lingering finish lasts a long time on the palate.
