About This Wine
Les Granges comes mostly from the estates younger vines (15-20 plus years old) planted on the alluvial, gravel soils of the terraces by the river Vienne. The grapes are picked by hand, fermentation is at cool temperatures and maturation occurs in a mix of concrete and large wooden vats. 2016 was a wonderful vintage for this address with superb ripeness, so it stands to reason this is an atypically supple and layered version of Baudry's entry level number. It's packed with fleshy, floral-noted, purple fruit aromas and flavours and finishes with crunchy freshness and mouth-filling perfume. Just what you want from this type of thirst-quencher.
