Hill Smith Estate Eden Valley Chardonnay 2022
An absolutely amazing Chardonnay from one of Australia's great wine making families! This vibrant, pure and textured Chardonnay is the result of a hands off winemaker philosophy, starting with the natural wild yeast ferment and finishing after 11 months in fine grained French oak! A must try! Winemaker Notes In the glass, the Hill-Smith Estate Chardonnay is pale gold with tinges of green. The wine has lifted aromas of citrus zest and white nectarine overlaid with subtle notes of struck flint and toasted cashew nuts. Showing greater than usual restraint, the palate is finely textured with citrus, quince and stone fruit flavours. The white nougat creaminess is nicely balanced by a fresh natural acidity and persistent fruit length.
