About This Wine
Il Nostro, Italian for Our Rooster, is a blend of Sangiovese and Canaiolo, co-fermented in cement open fermenters. The wine is aged in barrel for 14 months prior to bottling. Canaiolo originates from central Italy, and has been used to create the Chianti blend coming out of Tuscany since the 18th Century. II Nostro Gallo is a theatrical and feisty wine. Just like a rooster, it is strong in colour and resilient on the palate.
