We aim to have all wines be vintage specific. In the case the listed vintage is out of stock and you note you would like that particular vintage, we will inform you via email for approval to go ahead.
James Suckling – This aged-release 2015 has developed toasty lemon and lime-peel aromas, as well as a vividly fresh palate that has teflon-like restraint and purity. A late developer, this has scintillating length and drive. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
About This Wine
Green and vibrant in appearance. Zesty lemon and grapefruit aromas with a hint of dried green herb, overlaid with subtle toast and spice from extended time in bottle. The palate is lively and generous with intense citrus fruit flavours, hints of sage oil and lemongrass, finishing with refreshing acidity.
When Robert Hill-Smith, proprietor of Yalumba, joined forces with Clare winemaker extraordinaire, Jeffrey Grosset, to create a new Eden Valley Riesling, it was clear that this would be no ordinary wine. Born of occasional musings, the essence of the adventure is two of Australia’s best known Riesling makers working together to elevate the status of both Riesling and Eden Valley. This project also offers a forum in which both winemakers can share ideas, debate and discuss.
