About This Wine
The Sons of Eden Freya Riesling is Eden Valley Riesling in its purest form. No mucking around, just gorgeously pure, free-run Riesling juice from what winemaker Corey Ryan dubs "A near perfect ripening season." It comes from three different Eden Valley vineyards - all hand-picked and gently whole bunch pressed - before chilling out in stainless steel until release. The 2018 is a little riper than previous releases, the fruit a little juicier, making it all the more approachable as a young wine. Again, it must rank amongst the country's top value Rieslings. Great drinking now and will develop beautifully in the cellar also.
It's ripe with smells of lemon and Bickfords lime cordial. A little hit of blossomy aromas but powerful ripe fruit as the main theme. It's succulent to drink. All juicy citrus fruit and long, mouthwatering acidity which closes with a soft powdery tickle. A great drink all round.

The Wine Front – They know how to turn out fine Eden Riesling at SOE. Jasmine and vanilla perfume, lemon and lime, but delivered sotto voce, a certain mineral oil thing. It’s light, but full of flavour, with a juiciness and mouth-perfume, crunch of acidity and dusting of chalky texture, and a lovely grip and lime rind thing on the long, and very convincing finish. Beauty.
