A dark, brooding powerful pinot noir. Rich and tannic with a deep, soft core. This Balnarring sub region typically creates these powerful wines. In this wine, austere in its youth, and now with a year in bottle, the aroma begins to blossom and spreads across the palate.

Fragrant nose of dried strawberries, raspberries, hibiscus, potpourri and nutmeg. It’s medium-bodied with finely knit tannins. Silky and perfumed, with a lengthy, floral finish. Drink or hold. Screw cap.

Mornington Peninsula Wines

South of Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula grape growing region has a cool, maritime climate that is most known for their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay production. Other varieties that have seen some success here include Pinot Gris and Tempranillo.

However, it does seem that Pinot Noir is their focus judging from the fact that The Mornington Peninsula International Pinot Noir Celebration is held once every two years.
