"Another fine vintage in Margaret River has provided us with an excellent release of this elite Savvy with fruit sourced from their two southern-most vineyards. It spent time in top-notch French oak 4% new as well as stainless steel and concrete eggs with eleven months on lees. Open the screwcap and the room is flooded with aromas of peaches and tropical fruits. The colour is a gleaming yellow with flecks of gold. The nose is redolent with guava paw paw mango and those juicy peaches. A minerally backing with crunchy acidity topped by good length. Expect the wine to provide pleasure for the next half dozen years becoming even more complex over that period."
Driven by a desire to explore our extensive cool climate Sauvignon Blanc sources we created this blend from some of our finest parcels to illuminate the fruit purity and varietal expression of our special sites. A wine of tension and drive providing immediate enjoyment or rewarding with careful cellaring.
The intense aromas of pink grapefruit lychee guava and white nectarine are enhanced by a touch of jasmine flower camomile and fresh lime.
On the palate flavours of lemon zest passion fruit pips citrus blossom and rockmelon with saline edges are displayed. The supple texture coupled with driving minerality create an elegant wine with a punchy citrus peel finish.

Margaret River Wine
In the southwest of Western Australia, the Margaret River wine region is unique in that it is the most maritime-influenced region in all of Australia. The cool Indian ocean breezes come in through the summer to keep the temperatures around the vines steady resulting in an unusually even accumulation of warmth in the growing season. It is also quite dry as interestingly less than 20% of the annual rainfall occurs as the grapes are growing. The region’s climatic factors have been compared to what Bordeaux would be like in a dry season. While the region’s total production is relatively small (3% of Australia’s total wine production), it is responsible for 20% of our premium wine market.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz as well as Bordeaux blends are all very popular red wine options in the region.
For whites, refreshing blends of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon as well as complex, age worthy Chardonnays are the specialties.
