The more than 30 year old Syrah and Grenache vines give the La Porte du Ciel its
unmistakable character.
Tasting Note:
(st) Almost black color, smells intensely of a mix of cassis, black
Currants, graphite, pepper, liquorice and a salty mineral note. On the palate
silky-velvety style, offering incredible concentration, yet still retaining its freshness and
drinking animation during. Will grow even more with aging in the bottle and then into one
become a legend. Truly a monument that ranks among the finest wines in France.
Chapeau to the brilliant oenologist Claude Gros!
Match with:
Enjoy this wine with Entrecôte Café de Paris, veal cheeks, Chateaubriand,
Tournedos Rossini or leg of lamb with rosemary jus. Also suitable for dark ones
Meats such as beef stew, lamb and game dishes.
