About This Wine
2018 was an archetypal growing season with consistent winter rains and favourable weather conditions throughout a mild spring. A dry summer led to earlier than expected picking dates and smaller yields. With the arrival of autumn, cool temperatures elongated the growing season producing grapes with concentrated flavors and balanced acidity. The wines of 2018 possess a refined power with unbelievable concentration. Like the 2012 vintage, the wines are graceful yet incredibly intense – there is no doubt that 2018 is one of the best vintages of the last decade. With balanced acid and silky tannins these wines will shine brilliant for years to come.

James Halliday – Excellent flow of ripe, berried, fruit-driven flavour with grass, dust and herb notes as complexing inflections. Perfectly integrated, and yet assertive, dusty tannin through the back half of the wine. There are no missteps here and lots of highlights. Velvety mouthfeel and the perfect application of cedar wood oak add finishing touches to a dramatically high quality red wine. (Campbell Mattinson)
James Suckling – “This has an intense delivery of redcurrants, raspberries and red plums with an attractive, leafy and bracken edge… juicy, engaging and flavorful.” Nick Stock, JamesSuckling.com, May 2020 - 94 points
