Mulline Syrah 2024 is a vibrant cool-climate expression of Syrah that showcases the elegance and precision for which Geelong has become increasingly renowned. Produced from fruit sourced predominantly from the Moorabool Valley and Surf Coast, the wine includes a small portion of whole-bunch fermentation and is matured in French oak, with only a modest proportion of new barrels, preserving purity and freshness.
The wine opens with fragrant aromas of blackberry, mulberry, violet, cracked black pepper, wild herbs, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and finely structured, offering layers of red and black berry fruit, savoury complexity, bright acidity, and silky tannins. Notes of pepper, herbs, and mineral freshness provide lift and detail, while the finish is long, energetic, and precise.
Reflecting Mulline's minimal-intervention philosophy, the 2024 Syrah balances fruit purity with savoury nuance, delivering a refined and highly drinkable style that is equally suited to immediate enjoyment or short- to medium-term cellaring.
