We aim to have all wines be vintage specific. In the case the listed vintage is out of stock and you note you would like that particular vintage, we will inform you via email for approval to go ahead.
The Wine Front – Cherries and red fruits, almost to raspberry cordial, flowers, spice, that signature volcanic rock smokiness and minerality, sugared almonds. It’s light and clear, with juicy red fruits, slightly sour cranberry acidity, and the fine burr of tannin rumbling gently throughout, with a long stony raspberry finish. The alcohol seems to thin it out a little, and shears off some of the finesse of finer vintages. This, perhaps, is more in the zone of 2008 and 2012, though better for me than both of those. I suspect it will age very well.
Wine Spectator – A fresh and focused red set in an elegant, light- to medium-bodied frame. Offers flavors of wild strawberry and cherry fruit, with sandalwood, candied orange zest and a touch of smoky mineral on the finish. Nerello Mascalese. Drink now through 2022.
