About This Wine
The first Moyston was made by the legendary Colin Preece in 1951 and was originally labelled as Bin H66-68 Claret - a historic wine in the Seppelt portfolio. Moyston is a small town near Ararat, a few kilometres to the south of the Seppelt Great Western vineyards in Western Victoria. Winemaker Adam Carnaby carefully selects and blends parcels displaying rich fruit concentration and varietal definition to create Seppelt Moyston Cabernet Sauvignon and the wine is only released in exceptional years. This classic Cabernet Sauvignon had a small addition of Merlot to fill out the mid-palate and is charactersied by vibrant varietal fruit and long firm tannins, suggesting excellent cellaring potential.
