Ten Minutes by Tractor Estate Shiraz Heathcote 2022 is a limited-release wine that explores the distinctive character of cool-climate Heathcote Shiraz. Sourced from the Merindoc Vineyard in the cooler southern foothills of the region, the wine combines the depth and richness of Heathcote fruit with the aromatic lift provided by a small addition of Viognier. The mild 2022 growing season delivered consistent ripening and excellent flavour development, resulting in a wine of balance, concentration, and freshness.
The wine opens with aromas of smoked meats, charcuterie, red liquorice, juniper, violet, and dark berries. On the palate, layers of ripe blackberry, forest fruits, plum, and savoury spice are supported by firm, textured tannins and vibrant acidity. The subtle Viognier component adds floral perfume and enhances the wine’s elegance without overshadowing the fruit. Rich and structured yet finely balanced, the 2022 vintage finishes long and persistent with notes of pepper, spice, and savoury complexity. Built for enjoyment now with decanting, it also has the structure to develop gracefully over the next decade.

Mornington Peninsula Wines

South of Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula grape growing region has a cool, maritime climate that is most known for their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay production. Other varieties that have seen some success here include Pinot Gris and Tempranillo.
However, it does seem that Pinot Noir is their focus judging from the fact that The Mornington Peninsula International Pinot Noir Celebration is held once every two years. The event displays the region’s capabilities in making some of Australia’s finest Pinot Noir in front of local and international audiences.
