About this Wine

An exciting new sparkling cuvee from Ten Minutes by Tractor, a change from the 2019 blanc de blanc with the inclusion of some Wallis vineyard Pinot Noir.

The 2021 vintage saw a La Niña weather pattern controlling the season, the wet spring and start to the summer delayed budburst and flowering. Below average temperatures and rainfall over summer allowed the grapes to ripen slowly but evenly, resulting in great concentration of flavour and good natural acidity.

A blend of 62% Chardonnay and 38% Pinot Noir from the Wallis Vineyard. Fruit was whole bunch pressed, settled and fermented and aged in 5 year old French oak barriques for 8 months with regular bâtonnage.

The wine had a partial malolactic fermentation and then assembled and tiraged to bottle after 39 months on lees. The wine was riddled and disgorged and topped with our own liqueur made from TMBT back and current vintage wine with a 3g/L dosage.

The event displays the region’s capabilities in making some of Australia’s finest Pinot Noir in front of local and international audiences.
