The 2022 season stared with a very wet and variable spring, resulting in reduced yields across most sites. However, the beautiful dry summer and autumn months that followed provided the perfect ripening conditions that generated concentration and striking flavours.
Made with fruit from our friends Ruth and George Mihaly’s Paradigm Hill vineyard, this wine is beautiful example of a cool climate Shiraz with plum skin, cranberry sauce and savoury cigar box notes on the nose. The Viognier provides a floral lift of violets and rosehip. On the palate, welcome characters of luscious cassis invite you in, with white pepper and spice to finish. The tannins are chewy and give structure and drive to this elegant wine.

Mornington Peninsula Wines
South of Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula grape growing region has a cool, maritime climate that is most known for their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay production. Other varieties that have seen some success here include Pinot Gris and Tempranillo.
However, it does seem that Pinot Noir is their focus judging from the fact that The Mornington Peninsula International Pinot Noir Celebration is held once every two years. The event displays the region’s capabilities in making some of Australia’s finest Pinot Noir in front of local and international audiences.
